Alice is a 56ft traditional stern narrow boat built by Neil Hudson and fitted out by Nimbus narrow boats in 1993. She is powered by a Beta Marine diesel engine with PRM gearbox. The layout from the rear comprises of engine room housing engine and all the electrics. Following this is the double bedroom, forward of this is the shower room with full height shower, Porta Potti toilet and wash basin. Next comes the fully fitted galley with gas hob/grill/oven, fridge with small freezer compartment, sink/drainer and microwave. Moving forwards is the L shaped dinette which converts in to a second double berth. At the front of the cabin is the saloon with two easy chairs, display cabinets, television and standalone Old Dutch diesel stove. Central heating is provided by a Eberspacher diesel heater which also heats the hot water via the calorifier – as does the engine. Alice benefits from many extras which make long-term cruising or living aboard ideal including cratch and cover, Candy washing machine, Victron inverter/charger. Current Boat Safety Certificate until November 2025.
